January 2010 Del Mar Real Estate Market Update

 

In the Del Mar real estate (all in 92014 zip code); the January 2010 home sales depreciate 14.29 percent over the last 12 months. The average sales price has a significant 21.45 percent decrease, it dropped to $1,108,833 from average list price of $1,411,714 in January 2009.

There were 144 Del Mar homes for sale 2 months ago which was 14.79 percent down from the 169 in January 2009. The active list price of $3,755,527 and the median list price of $1,798,500 from the first month of this year marked 7.02 percent and 14.36 percent decrease respectively.

The Del Mar homes are priced high because of the good location. Residents here have stable assets and sources of income. Home inventory is down because there are only few new homes that are built each year. Whether you are looking for a first home or second vacation home, a home in Del Mar is a perfect investment and a wonderful place to live!
