Leave a comment » Del Mar Luxury Homes Market Update: April 2009 2010Market sales for Del Mar luxury homes in the 92014 zip code enjoyed a huge improvement this month when compared to the same time last year. Average listing prices of homes increased by 436.59%, from $661,486 to $3,549,483. There is also a significant decrease in the number of listed homes from 181 down to 164, suggesting that many buyers are finishing up their deals for their Del Mar Luxury homes this month. The number of newly listed properties also increased from 21 to 30. The average listing price also received a nearly three folds increase; from $765,457 it shot up to $2,285,930. It seems that more Del Mar luxury homes owners are taking advantage of this increase and thinks that now may be a good time to sell their old home and move-up to a better one. Meanwhile amidst the apparent increase in the inventory of homes, it seems that less Del Mar luxury homes were sold this month of April as compared to last year's. Only 11 homes were sold compared to the 22 that was sold last year. The average listing price of these sold homes increased from $494,592 up to $2,036,591, while the average selling price increased from $490,068 to $1,820,818. Though the prices of homes have spiked up, with the increase in the number of homes for sale, you now have a much wider variety of options to choose from.
